Our products are made on wooden shuttle-looms by weavers in Turkey who have been using the same methods and practices for centuries.

Each item is made with 100% certified organic Turkish cotton.

Most towels are produced in factories using low quality cotton and/or synthetic fibres. The threads are usually coated in starch and wax to prevent breakage during production on huge, fast machines. The final product doesn’t absorb water very well, can smell musty, and will become crunchy and hard. Sound familiar?

A Woven Organics product had been designed and made with love, and if cared for properly will stay soft and plush and last for many many years to come.

Traditional Shuttle-loom

First Time Only

An initial 12-24hr soak in cold water is recommended as this process allows the cotton to expand and assists it to be highly absorbent.

After soaking it’s best to hang the towel to drip dry; alternatively line dry after a gentle spin cycle, or tumble dry on low heat.

The more you use and wash your towels the softer and more absorbent they become!

Everyday Care

Warm gentle machine wash with a natural laundry detergent keeping separate from items that may catch on loops or tassels (like zips).

Never use fabric softener or bleach. Cool to medium tumble dry. Do not over dry cotton.

Loose Threads & Pulls

Any loose threads on the thick looped towels should be simply cut off with sharp scissors. It will not harm the towel.
